All Saints Parish Liturgy Advisory Religious Education School Social Organizations Community Service Youth Music Fundraising Many Spiritual, Social and Outreach Programs are offered here in the All Saints Parish Community. You are needed to make them useful and fulfilling to all. We help ourselves by helping those in need. With that commitment in mind, it is hoped that all the information in this presentation will be of service to you as you join a parish community that is welcoming. A parish community of faith known as All Saints Parish LITURGY COMMITTEE: Members of the committee meet with the priests, deacon and music coordinator on a monthly basis. The focus: to discuss, develop, and implement liturgical celebrations. Special attention is devoted to a harmony of parts: liturgical rite, music and decorations. The Mass of Anointing and Mass for the Deceased of our Parish are some examples. The Liturgy Committee meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month in the Rectory Conference Room at 7:00 p.m. EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST: These men and women are chosen to give service to their brothers and sisters at Mass by distributing Holy Communion. People are chosen on the basis of their consistent faith as well as their moral standing in the parish community. This is not a program for which one can volunteer, but a desire to be considered can certainly be expressed to the priests or deacon of the parish. After completing the training program for this office, they are commissioned by our pastor to serve for a period of three years. The Eucharist is made available to our homebound parishioners and to those in the hospital and nursing homes through the extraordinary efforts of a small group of these men and women. LECTORS: Lectors are parish women or men (including youth), who communicate Gods Word by doing the readings at Mass. ALTAR SERVERS: The Altar Servers assist the priests and deacon at Mass.
